“Art is not doomed to fail just because of the lack of money.”

As a young female university student – of course – I don’t have much to live on. But I still consider myself fortunate that my income is merely close to zero. Not everone has that sort of privilege. So for me, it’s no reason to let it stop me from dedicating my life to my visual art. Is art that is made possible by masses of cash and is only made for the sake of it still art or advertising? I won’t give you any answers. I’m just asking questions and shedding light on my view of various things by using recycled and ‘cheap’ materials – like leftover, still usable scraps and discount goods. Because art should not be condemned to fail only because of the size of your wallet.
